It's been a year since I last wrote in... no reasons, no excuses, nothing ... I just dont write when I dont feel like it.

Yesterday, on the we at India *celebrated* independence day.

I was, after a long time, at a school as part of my Independence say celebration. And for a change, I was part of the "Guests". The school children were on the stage, presenting a program spanning across folk dances, solo and group songs ... all patriotic ... speeches laden with national fervour, and of course, an eye on the clock couting time till they could go home and say "HOLIDAY"...

It felt odd being a part of the crowd that sat on chairs and was served snacks and soft drinks... with about 500 childrens' eyes on you wondering what was it that made you so great that you get to sit on chairs and eat while they sit on the ground and get only to watch ...

And back home, I wonder what it really was that made one great ... Was it the fact that I am an active member of a local club that makes children and society realise that they have to be "good citizens" ? Was it my earning and business potential ... read donation .. that made the school accept me as a "good citizen" ? Was it my "wise talk" about how one put the environment to order ?

    I slept the noon away.

As every "responsible citizen" of India should on Independence Day.

    Celebration ?

"For no reason I can think of, I've wandered far astray.
And that is how I got to where I find myself today."

    Hi ...

Thought I'd write in again .. and yah :) its been a very very long time ...

Wanted to share a poem with you folks that really really touched me .. and shook me all over:)
Nah .. not in the negative sense of the word ..
It touched a chord somewhere... a chord that really opens your eys to a world all of a sudden and then brings you back into earth :)

    here it is ..
Its by Robert Frost .. and its called.

    -------------------------------------------
    Wind and Window Flower
    -------------------------------------------

    Lovers, forget your love,
And list to the love of these,
    She a window flower,
    And he a winter breeze.

    When the frosty window veil
    Was melted down at noon,
    And the caged yellow bird
    Hung over her in tune,

He marked her through the pane,
He could not help but mark,
    And only passed her by
    To come again at dark.

    He was a winter wind,
    Concerned with ice and snow,
    Dead weeds and unmated birds,
And little of love could know.

But he sighed upon the sill,
He gave the sash a shake,
    As witness all within
    Who lay that night awake.

    Perchance he half prevailed
To win her for the flight
    From the firelit looking-glass
    And warm stove-window light.

    But the flower leaned aside
And thought of naught to say,
    And morning found the breeze
    A hundred miles away.
